Jumping Spider Enclosure Guide

Jumping Spiders · Enclosure Guide

Find the right little world.

A good enclosure fits your spider’s size and habits, keeps food easy to find, and has plenty of safe places to climb and web. Here’s how to choose among our sizes.

These are starting points, not a one-size-fits-all rule. Species, actual body size, life stage, feeder size, and mobility matter more than the label “juvenile” or “adult.” Very small spiderlings may need a nursery enclosure before moving into any of these planted builds.

Choose your size

Compact

3 × 3 × 6 in

A small, easy-to-monitor space for an appropriately sized young jumper or a smaller species. Check that the spider cannot pass through ventilation holes and can find its prey.

Versatile

4 × 4 × 8 in

A practical choice for many larger juveniles, subadults, and adults. It leaves room for vertical branches, plant cover, and a webbing area near the top.

Roomier

6 × 6 × 9 in

More space for an active adult and a fuller planted design. Keep climbing routes and cover throughout the enclosure, and watch that your spider finds food reliably.

Tall display

6 × 6 × 12 in

Extra height for a larger, active jumper and a dramatic vertical layout. Ask us about your spider before choosing a tall build, especially if it is older or having trouble gripping.

Dimensions are width × depth × height. Individual designs offer different size options; the fully custom listing currently shows 4 × 4 × 8 and 6 × 6 × 10 in. For another shape or size, send us a note so we can check availability.

What matters inside the enclosure?

Climbing & webbing

Jumpers spend much of their time above the ground. Wood, foliage, perches, and sheltered upper corners give them routes to explore and places to build a hammock.

Access & airflow

Choose secure ventilation and an opening that lets you feed and maintain the habitat without constantly disturbing the upper webbing area.

Your individual spider

For an older spider or one losing grip, ask for more plant coverage, lower resting routes, and a soft, forgiving floor. A tall, open layout may be a poor fit.
